Hot Review: HTC TyTN II Smartphone

HTC TyTN II

Though this cell phone has everything you’d want from one, there are still a lot of gaps. The MS office applications, QWERTY keypad and the side-sliding 2.8″ display give the feel of a handheld laptop. The camera has a 3 meg resolution but is nothing to write home about. At first glance, it first seems pretty stylised but as you use it, its life bulkiness pinches you. The battery life is average and the performance gets slightly sluggish at times.

HOT Verdict: Could easily have been one of the best communication devices to hit the market but it’s just a decent PDA with some extra features, compared to regular Windows Mobile devices.

Sony Ericsson R300i

Sony Ericsson’s latest offering, the R300i bar phone, though low on price, manages to pack in a very good musical experience with FM radio recording facility and a 1.3 meg VGA camera. Surprisingly, within this price, it even chips in Bluetooth and GPRS. Available in black and copper; it’s a phone with some serious mass appeal.

Review: Nokia E51

Nokia E51Whosoever thinks that biz phones need to be bulky is still living in the age of Neantherdals! Nokia’s latest smartphone, the E51, adds greater simplicity, faster access and tighter integration to key applications and is packages to provide the best combo of features and style. Its 12 mm thickness isn’t too filmsy but a bit rigid and a good fit in the palm. It’s not perfect, a little rough around the edges, but overall we adore it.

HOT Verdict: Sticks to Nokia’s winning formula of a simple phone that’s easy to use and comes with a few extra features to boot.

Check out: 2 meg camera, GPRS support with WiFi and VoIP, FM radio, 130 MB memory (expandable to 4 GB)
