Motorola Rokr E8: Hot Review

The Motorola Rokr E8 was love at first sight. With its futuristic design and music as its central theme, this was one gizmo that I’d been waiting for. But more than the music, it was the technology within this smart thing that excited me. Instead of a keypad, it has a smooth glass like surface with touch-pad controls that digitally morph depending on how the handset is used. As you shift from phone to music to camera modes, the backlight changes to illuminate only the buttons you need for your current function. For the first few days, you may feel awkward with the buttons, but then you’ll be hooked to this pad less beauty.

Hot Review: HTC TyTN II Smartphone

HTC TyTN II

Though this cell phone has everything you’d want from one, there are still a lot of gaps. The MS office applications, QWERTY keypad and the side-sliding 2.8″ display give the feel of a handheld laptop. The camera has a 3 meg resolution but is nothing to write home about. At first glance, it first seems pretty stylised but as you use it, its life bulkiness pinches you. The battery life is average and the performance gets slightly sluggish at times.

HOT Verdict: Could easily have been one of the best communication devices to hit the market but it’s just a decent PDA with some extra features, compared to regular Windows Mobile devices.

This phone’s color is too in-your-face but then that’s exactly what adds extra zing to it! It comes with a 262k color LCD touchscreen, 2 meg camera and 256 MB storage card. Another thing to note in this phone is its TV out feature.

With ‘TV out’, a device can provide analog video signal acceptable for Tv input. So, you can watch your phone videos on a larger screen!
