For less than forty dollars and free shipping This is a great value. It is a basic DVD player with a remote base. We had this for about three months and had no problems. He scratched DVD actually treated better than the Sony DVD player that we have. The controls on the front of the camera are just the basics, using it too good for children.

If you are looking for a basic DVD player with no buttons or actions such as research, is the Toshiba SD4200 Digital progressive scan DVD player it! Very affordable and easy to install. I bought for my 10 year old child. He has no problem with it and the remote is very simple, so there is no confusion, the buttons to use. Compatible with all common CD formats including DVD-R, DVD-RW, CD-R and CD-RW. We are also able house, JPEG photo album and MP3 CDs. Extremely thin and light.

Great buy for under forty dollars!

My opinion far from being enthusiastic about what my expectations are for the player, not the actual performance.

I need a DVD player cheap cheap TV, I which takes only the S-video. So I bought the Toshiba SD4200 DVD player precisely because, at least at the time of purchase, both Amazon and the Web site Toshiba has announced that it had S-Video output. When he arrived, however, I discovered that it is not (only component and RCA). A spokesman confirmed the error and apologized Toshiba website. To compensate for this, I had an RCA to S-Video, which, fortunately, you can buy costs about $ 10.

Unfortunately, this was not my only disappointment. The image of the player on Amazon and Toshiba lead you to believe that the duration of the calendar view, if it is really the only thing that shows the track number included. Since the length of schedule and S-Video The only requirements were that I had in mind before buying a DVD player, I was very upset to discover that. Another strange feature, I never saw before, is the lack of track buttons on the player itself, can not be between the tracks with the remote to jump. I noticed before I buy, because they are there in the pictures, but it has not been easy for me. This is a minor inconvenience, but it’s something that I probably gave rise to another player to buy, would include the large number of options.

These problems could all have been avoided if I had looked online user manual Toshiba today, gave good information and photos. I learned the manual before you buy online Electronics, instead of only basic information from suppliers and check / or manufacturer.

As the performance of players, so far I have no problems with CD or DVD (approximately two months of use). Overall, the adapter RCA / S-Video in place, I became convinced with the device. I have good experience with two other products from Toshiba (portable hard drive, portable DVD) and had therefore expect it is also good to wear.

This is a DVD of Nice for the money. one thing to be aware, there is an option for an HDMI cable this DVD player to see but there is no HDMI port on the DVD. It comes with a component cable in the box.
